Hello, cat lovers

My name is Natalia.

I always loved cats, and they were always with me.

Unfor­tu­nate­ly, two of my cats died because they had free access to out­side.

I was a child when my first cat has been killed by a neigh­bor by means of a pneu­mat­ic weapon. My oth­er cat was attacked by a stray cat in my own gar­den. She got infect­ed with a feline immun­od­e­fi­cien­cy virus (FIV) through the bites and a few years lat­er she died.

After these two acci­dents I came to real­ize that “to love cats” means “to have a cat-proof gar­den”.
My goal is to inspire oth­er cat own­ers to make their gar­dens cat-proof before an acci­dent can hap­pen.

Also, I joined my love for cats with my pas­sion for gar­den­ing.
For our cat-proof gar­dens I have select­ed plants with 3 key fea­tures:

1. Not tox­ic for cats
2. Edi­ble for peo­ple
3. Rare and beau­ti­ful

For the moment, my col­lec­tion of rare plants con­tains almost 150 species.
Most of my plants are berry shrubs, that’s why the web­site is called “Cat­sand­ber­ries”.
Some of the plants from my col­lec­tion are offered for sale on this web­site.

In the sec­tion under the name “Arti­cles” I shared my thoughts and expe­ri­ence con­cern­ing cats, plants and cat­proof gar­dens.
