"Velvetleaf blueberry". The leaves and stems of this species are covered with fine, velvety hairs when young. The plant begins to flower quite early in spring and produces very sweet, aromatic berries. The berries have a richer and fruitier taste than ordinary blueberries, which are commonly grown in gardens. The shrub is compact and low-growing, therefore it's perfectly suitable as a container plant.
